The beginnings of EPIDEMIE RECORDS stretch back to the 1993 when D.I.Y. hardcore / punk / grind label was born from a small underground zine and demo tapes distribution.

In the second half of the nineties, we got known as the label focused on the death metal and grindcore, sometimes overlapping to more experimental genres.

Actual profile of our label is very difficult to define. We produce different genres, but we prefer to release what we like the most: drone, ambient, black metal, funeral doom, avant-garde metal. We place emphasis on the graphic design and the whole process of releasing. We have succeeded to more than 70 releases.

In spite of the releasing activities we keep a large CD´s mail-order distribution.

Occasionally we engaged in organizing concerts and we do club festival PRAGUE APOCALYPTIC EVENING, which aims to present in Prague the best of the world dark ambient / folk / industrial scene.
