The first regular full-length under the banner FALKENBACH appeared in 1996 with the Icelandic title " …En their medh riki fara…" (1996). The extremely atmospheric album supported by keyboard and acoustic guitar was obviously influenced both by the Bathory classics "Blood Fire Death" and "Hammerheart" as well as the rising Nordic black metal tide. " …En their medh riki fara…" quickly gained cult status in the blackened pagan metal scene and still maintains a raw, emotional charm today.

When FALKENBACH's second album " ...Magni blandinn ok megintíri..." appeared in 1998 it offered a refined, matured and more melodic continuation of the blackened pagan metal style that took influences from both Bathory and the second wave of Nordic black metal, which the German multi-instrumentalist had established two years earlier on the debut full-length " …En their medh riki fara…" (1996). " ...Magni blandinn ok megintíri..." is widely considered to be an important milestone of its genre.

FALKENBACH were originally conceived as a solo-project by Vratyas Vakyas and officially came into being with the "Læknishendr" demo in 1995. With the fourth full-length, "Heralding – The Fireblade" (2005), the German released material that was originally intended for the debut album, but due to production issues got delayed and later re-worked. This meant a somewhat hybrid album that to the delight of their early fans had more of the black spirit of the legendary first full-length " …En their medh riki fara…" (1996), but also featured the matured pagan metal sound, which FALKENBACH had gained over the course of the following two albums.

On his third full-length, "Ok nefna tysvar Ty", the German continued to navigate straight along the course that he had set on the previous two releases. This meant a further reduction of obvious black metal elements, while adding more melodic and folkish parts. Yet musically as well as in their lyrics, FALKENBACH firmly went on to spearhead the pagan metal style that became so very popular only a few years down the road. Vratyas Vakyas starting to work with guest musicians from this album on, gave his sound more of a band feeling as well.

After the interlude of their fourth album, which partly featured reworked earlier material, the next full-length from the German composer and multi-instrumentalist who was again joined by musicians appeared to be a summary of all the elements from his previous works. "Tiurida" (2011) put the emphasis on the band's epic melodic pagan metal side, which was generously spiced with some earlier black metal elements. The album still evokes an overall impression of confident and experienced songwriting. FALKENBACH had reached the point where they not only exactly knew their musical destination but also how to get there.

Sedmé řadové album Forgotten Silence vychází po pěti letech od svého předchůdce u labelu Magick Disk Musick a obsahuje 4 skladby v celkové stopáži 39 minut, ve kterých se rozehrává další multižánrový level brněnské kapely, která se po dvaceti letech vrátila k ženskému zpěvu, jež je ovšem náležitě klížen s mužským historicky typickým murmurem. Vedle Krustyho basy, Martyho kláves a Čepových bicích skupina do svých řad přivítala zpěvačku Andreu Baslovou (ex-MEMORIA) a nového kytaristu Kubýka Fritscheho (HADÍ MORD, KANDAR). Neoddiskutovatelnými výkony dílo dále spoluvytvářeli Chymus (INNER FEAR, ex-ISACAARUM) na poli vokálním, Radek Kopel (EINE STUNDE MERZBAUTEN, ex-NAPALMED) na polích industriálních ruchů a Onehalph coby programátor a grafik. Album "Vemork Konstrukt" tak vládne jedinečnou atmosférou plnou zvratů a neustálého dění, na které by mnohým nestačila stopáž double desky. Modré album s ukrytým otištěným hastagem #modrealbum vyšlo ve striktně limitované sběratelské edici 333 kusů, každý originál je zatavený ve fólii a opatřený velkou samolepkou s příslušným strojním číslem. Pro vnější obal s magickou malbou byl zvolen těžký, masivní dřevitý karton. Vnitřní obal je jen o trochu lehčí, obsahuje velkoplošnou, stylovou fotografii kapely nad nočním městem a z druhé strany texty všech osmi vyvážených skladeb. Pro vinylové vydání prošla nahrávka příslušným studiovým masteringem a zní tak, jak má z vinylu znít. Po takřka třech letech od minulého vinylu přilétají Heiden s absolutní novinkou vypálenou jak z čistého nebe blesk a pokračují tak dalším výrazným levelem své diskografie – chápejte svobodnou cestou, kterou jim nikdo nenalajnoval. Život každýho jedince je víceméně silný koncepční příběh a koncepční je i osmé řadové album moravských rockových věrozvěstů. V tiskové zprávě se nenadějete jeho ani stručného obsahu, ale jak název, tak obal budiž první nápovědou. Více pak v samotných textech, jímž lze bezvýhradně rozumět, pročež je nemělo smysl přepisovat na obal. Ten se jeví být ne zcela tradičním grafickým šperkem, rozumějte ani tady se nehrálo na jakékoliv standardy a upřednostňoval duch nekonečné volnosti, díky němuž se levá hemisféra mozku postupně zaplaví modrou a pravá pak fialovou barvou. The listener is supposed to be left at ease and in a relaxed state after a magical musical journey that is at times turbulent. "Futha" was three years in the making and was finished for production and print at midwinter, the very darkest day of the solar year. At the opposite to "Ofnir", the new album is the counterpart, the balance point, the feminine side. Here, the lyrics originate from old Icelandic poetry. Hence, female voices are more prominent on "Futha". Any attempt to link the band with or bring their music into a modern political or religious context is pointless, since HEILUNG try to connect their listeners with a time before the coming of christianity and modern political ideologies.
