Industrial metal. Finsko / Švédsko. LOBOTOMY DEPT is a Finnish/Swedish industrial band formed in 2016 by Lasse of HOODED MENACE fame and Rogga from PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER and many more. Besides all things deathly, thrashy and doomy, these guys share an interest in the late 80's/early 90's style of industrial metal (think of GODFLESH, MINISTRY, SCORN, and NAILBOMB). So after collaborating on a few death metal projects, it was only a matter of time before the two would come up with something that leaned more on the industrial side of metal. Actually one of the early bands by Rogga was the industrial metal band TERMINAL GRIP and Lasse was experimenting with industrial influences on the very late PHLEGETHON material back in the early 90's. You could say LOBOTOMY DEPT takes them back in time to continue the work they started many years ago.

A history lesson, recorded in autumn 1989. Unavailable for over 20 years in any format, we proudly present "Malfeitor" - the now classic album from Maschinenzimmer 412. This was the last release under that name, and what seemed like the final nail in the coffin for the Swedish Black Industrial act. 6 years later they rose from the ashes, restructured and resurrected as MZ. 412.   This is evil incarnate, staring into the abyss. Relentless industrial rituals; darkness fused with machines, your fears and your power. An expression of the coldest music imaginable. With a more lyrical approach than the predecessor "Macht Durch Stimme", "Malfeitor" explores themes of death, with an unequivocal dystopian outlook. Cavernous heavy industrial, primitive machine rhythms, and cold metallic loops created on old synths with very little post-production. Megaptera – Beyond The Massive Darkness 2CD A re-release of the death industrial milestone. CD1 is a reissue of ‘Songs From The Massive Darkness’ (Megaptera’s first LP; Vinyl Attack, 1992). CD2 is a remixed version of ‘Beyond The Shadow’ (Megaptera’s first CD; Kronotop, 1994) with two new versions of tracks composed by the original founder of the project, Mikael Svensson (Deaf Machine) from ‘The Curse Of The Scarecrow’ CD (Release Entertainment, 1998) + ‘Deep Inside’ (12″, EP; Slaughter Productions, 1997.) feat. Based on an original musical application of a geometric symbolism of certain mechanisms of the psyche. Aptly conceptualized as fractal musical geometry. A simply structured but emotionally tense atmosphere is created in which instrumentation plays the role of inner structure, an industrialized sound that of the chaotic and the vocals a passionate element, significantly potentiated by fiery existential lyrics. The 25th anniversary of the neo-classical milestone by Sophia, a project of Peter Pettersson (Arcana) remastered in 2025 for the LP / CD re-release via Old Captain. A critically acclaimed album of 2001 that integrates dark orchestral ambient layers with industrial and martial elements. Its unique blend of strength and beauty, melancholic and epic atmosphere has made "Herbstwerk" sublime and absolutely timeless. Limited to 400 copies (200 CDs and 200 LPs (black / cold blue)).

Bringing together some of the original collaborators which were featured on earlier albums, Per Ählund, Stefan Eriksson and Ia Bjärgö, “Unclean” is again an outstanding piece of sonic force. Pounding percussions,  commanding vocal parts and expanding ambient passages all merge to give us and absorbing, diverse and forward thinking journey. “Unclean” is an excursion into the folly of man’s self destructive tendencies, with a slight hope of a possible awakening before the last gasp is taken.

Sutcliffe No More, a continuation of Sutcliffe Jugend release the harrowing new double CD ‘Domestic’ recorded during Lockdown 2020-21, which explores themes of isolation and domestic abuse. This double album is the result of the current Pandemic, taking into account loss, frustration and fear that have rained down on the world this past year. This is the first release by Paul Taylor and Kevin Tomkins as Sutcliffe No More, which is Sutcliffe Jugend but with a new name. After the one off album as Slaves No More, the band reverted to the same lyrical themes and musical intensity of Sutcliffe Jugend, through using spoken word and singing combined with classical, choirs and electronica.
