As ever, Demian’s “Catalunyan” music flows with flawless fluidity through his unique vocal rendition of sexy Mediterranean romanticism, professing good wishes, undying love and nostalgia through beautifully composed melodies.
This album is made even more unique with the special guest presence of Jürgen Weber from Nový Svět. Here, Jürgen contributes in the composition of one track while lending his voice to 2 others.

A classic in recent Neofolk history
On "Emptiness:Emptiness:Emptiness", the second album by :Of The Wand and the Moon:, Kim Larsen continues the style of his much-lauded debut "Nighttime:Nightrhymes" consequently, but without repeating himself. The wounds got deeper, the pain larger, but in its melancholy ":Emptiness:Emptiness:Emptiness:" imbeds the knowledge that beauty will ever be an part of the dark journey through life.

The third album by Kim Larsen's Neofolk project
"Lucifer" and "Emptiness:Emptiness:Emptiness" were recorded at the same time, and both albums are united by an extraordinary, almost magical - and always very dark - atmosphere. The well-known Nordic influences are still there in the lyrics, but on "Lucifer" they get enriched with occult borrowings. With "Lucifer", the trilogy that once began with "Nighttime Nightrhymes" is now completed, as is the first chapter in the career of :Of The Wand And The Moon:.

1. Lucifer

Zbrusu nové album pozoruhodného polského neofolkového ženského projektu. Digipack.
The new album from Ols - one-woman dark-neofolk project from Poland.
Ols music is based on polyphonic vocal harmonies, complemented with instrumental parts which build a ritual and hypnotic character. Ols music is usually described as neofolk, but it is difficult to label it under a specific genre because you can find elements of various genres there - from mesmerizing lullabies, disquieting ritual chants, folk, through alternative music, to fragments inspired by atmospheric black metal.
Recommended for fans of Of The Wand and The Moon, Heilung, Agalloch, Dead can Dance and Tenhi. The reviewers also compared Ols to Wardruna, Alcest, Drudkh, Skuggsja, Faun or Myrkur, and although the similarities seem even less obvious here, such comparisons give some idea of how Ols’ music is perceived by the audience.

Orplid are the epitome of German Neofolk. Named after the crusaders' motto "Deus Vult", their 7th full-length album is a 72-minutes mission statement expressing the duo's readiness to safeguard western civilization and its tradition.
Uwe Nolte (lyrics, concept, vocals) and Frank Machau (composition, instruments, vocals) started Orplid in Halle/Saale, Germany, in 1996 and quickly became the epitome of German Neofolk. Thematically, the project has remained open while playing music that only few can match in terms of diversity. For them, neofolk rather means an innovative state of mind than a musical genre. They took more than ten years time for the successor of "Greifenherz" (2008), yet the wait was warranted.
The duo's new album "Deus Vult" is Nolte’s and Machau’s ultimate mission statement. Summarized by the crusaders' motto "God wills it", the songs express Orplid's...
Precizní německý melancholický a přírodou inspirovaný neofolk.
Orplid´s sound conveys the simple impressions and emotions of nature with plucked and wailing electric guitar, creating a psychological and bombastic sound-painting, rife with classical and religious thought.
On the other hand, just as with the influence and contributions drawn from the local poetic tradition, of German literature and Friedrich Schillers verse ("Das Mädchen aus der Fremde") the music reflects the hope, the deceit, and all the polarities of the human soul.
Opět k dostání úchvatné neofolkové album z roku 2000. Německo.
