With this publication, COMICIDE was brought back to life after almost three decades of silence. This band, founded in the early eighties by Stephen Ah Burroughs (TUNNELS OF AH, FRAG) and Eric Jurenovskis, soon after expanding its line-up, transformed into HEAD OF DAVID, one of the most influential musical groups, combining punk energy with industrial grind. Today, they are often considered the progenitors of GODFLESH, because it was J.K. Broadrick's playing in their line-up that gave him the impetus to operate under this name. In their short life, COMICIDE managed to play several concerts, including alongside CON-DOM. Two of them were recorded and released years later on a cassette "Moral Improvement (Live 1984CE)". Apokalyptický sludge doom z Japonska. Digipack. Corrupted is a mysterious Japanese doom metal band, formed in 1994. Immensely downtuned guitar and crushingly slow bass are shrouded under deep layers of feedback. They are rightly hailed as one of the heaviest and darkest doom metal bands of all time. This is not a simple reissue of the 2018 multi-speed, vinyl-only release "Felicific Algorithim" (Cold Spring). Though the first two tracks were created using the same field recordings / source material captured in Amagasaki, Osaka, and Fukushima, the tracks have been carefully reworked into a much darker sound. The new track titles 'Felicific Algiorithm' and 'Felicific Aligorithm' reflect this; like a mind virus appearing the same at first glance. Choosing the term "depressive dark rock" to describe themselves doesn't do Counting Hours enough justice as the debut album from this Finnish five-piece not only links their sound to game-changing acts such as Katatonia, Paradise Lost and October Tide but succeeds on evoking the lost feeling of the 90s dark and gothic music scene, mainly because part of what you get to hear on their fresh and intriguing 2018 demo was written during that era, embodying the original atmosphere and vulnerability only a band from those times could materialize.
