Zbrusu nové album holandské psychedelic rock doom kapely. Digipack.
Everything flows, nothing ever stays the same. The same can be said about the third studio album of the fast-rising Dutch rock band DOOL. Aptly entitled "The Shape of Fluidity" there is not just musical innovation but the full-length revolves around themes of personal change, physical change, psychological change, and the ever-changing world around us. DOOL and particularly singer and guitarist Raven van Dorst ask questions: How does change affect us? How do we keep being ourselves in a world that is so incredibly demanding and aggressive towards the individual? We must be as fluid as water to navigate ourselves through this ocean of possibilities and uncertainties – and make peace with chaos and impermanence. Musically, DOOL continue on the path laid out on the two previous studio recordings of heartfelt rock music with added metal elements, while displaying a maturity and focus in songwriting that has grown out...
Doom death metal. Německo.
Hytný psychedelický doom metal z Polska.
DOOMSTER REICH return with their second album 'Drug Magick'. Recorded at the famous Radio Lodz concert studio. A homage to the raw sound of late 60s/early 70s rock. This album was recorded live, in one take !
A hybrid of doom metal, psychedelia and krautrock takes the listener deep into hypnotic, drug-fueled trances of Devil worship.
Monumentální okultní psychedelický stoner doom z Polska.
DOPELORD's amplified heresy is uniquely triumphant, their fuzz-drenched apostasy genuine and glorious. Calling to mind Electric Wizard, Windhand and Acid King, Songs for Satan displays equal mastery of lumbering plod and silvery hooks while mining decades of Catholic oppression for lyrical fuel. An iconoclastic milestone that rumbles the earth and shakes our figurative foundations!
Hypnotický ambient doom z USA. Digipack.
Drown, alongsides Aureole and Tchornobog, takes on a central role in the work of Ukrainian-born musician Markov Soroka. The album “Unsleep” was originally released in 2014 under the moniker Slow, containing five songs that tell the story of a man who drowns himself, whereupon his body and spirit spiral forever in the deep sea. Melodic and infinitely creepy, the record sets the stage for Soroka's later releases of Aureole and Tchornobog, all of which explore the same narrative world.
Pozoruhodné album pákistánské kapely z roku 2003. Náladotvůrný technický progresivní doom metal s nádechem orientální hudby.
Hutný pomalý old school doom metal ve stylu starých My Dying Bride, Paradis Lost, Funeral. Itálie.
DVM SPIRO is formed by NIHILI LOCUS members (Max, Roberto, Valeria), cult Italian band of the 90′s, and they serves you the finest tunes of dark and arcane Doom Metal. An overall desperate and gloomy feeling, mixed to the natural funeral atmospheres of Doom Metal, is what comes out from DVM SPIRO debut album! Classical music and ancient instruments enrich a sound that is unique in their style and that will definitively be a mandatory listening for fans of My Dying Bride, Funeral, early Paradise Lost, Swallow The Sun!
Split CD indiscké a pákistánské kapely. Hutný old school doom metal.
Debutní album DYING PASSION z roku 2000 bylo po 20-ti letech znovuvydané. Digipack.
Hypnotický psychedelický doom rock metal z Norska. Digipack.
The brainchild of Rune "Blasphemer" Eriksen (MAYHEM, AURA NOIR, AVA INFERI, TWILIGHT OF THE GODS) and his partner Carmen Simoes (AVA INFERI, MOONSPELL), EARTH ELECTRIC is an unprecedented and surprising beast in the works of the famous Norwegian guitarist / composer. Eriksen is drawing heavily from classic rock influences including giants like DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH, and PINK FLOYD. Such roots are rather hinted at than clearly visible and the Nordic track-smith has always made sure to hammer them into an individual shape of his own twisted liking.
Krasné gatefold balení, dvojLP a černý vinyl. Artefakt!
Examined from temporal distance, Empyrium’s complete body of work is within reasonable limits in terms of quantity: during the eight years of the band’s history, they released four albums, each of them marking a recognizable progress from its predecessor. 1996’s still immature and effusive debut “A Wintersunset ...” paved the way for “Songs Of Moors & Misty Fields” (1997), Empyrium’s hallmark in the Dark Metal underground. In the next few years, the band offered “Where At Night The Wood Grouse Plays” (1999) and “Weiland” (2002), two albums as sophisticated as unique in terms of both music and content, straying beyond the scope of conventional genres, the closest denominator being Dark Folk, if only for a lack of alternatives. With “Weiland”, Empyrium finally came so close to the essence of their own creative spirit as to seeing no more sense in continuing the band, resulting in dispersal for the time being.
As the title suggests, “A Retrospective ...” is a look back on the work...
Debutní album Empyrium znovuvydané na vinylu. Gatefold LP a zlatý vinyl.
Velmi zdařilá živá nahrávka EMPYRIUM z roku 2011.
une 11th, 2011, was a landmark date in Empyrium's history. After more than 15 years, Schwadorf and Helm played their very first show ever on that day, taking place at the Wave Gotik Treffen in the Pantheon of Volkspalast Leipzig. For this memorable event, the two core members put together an illustrious concert line-up, consisting of Konstanz (The Vision Bleak), Neige (Alcest), Eviga (Dornenreich), Fursy Teyssier (Les Discrets), Aline Deinert (Neun Welten) and Christoph Kutzer (Remember Twilight), who had rehearsed pieces from every creative phase of Empyrium as well as the new, so-far unreleased song "Dead Winter Ways".
A masterpiece of monumental and bombastic Dark Romantic Metal
With "Songs Of Moors And Misty Fields" (1997), Schwadorf perfected his dark Metal full of classical Romanticism and traditional folklore. The album relates back to the band's debut "A Wintersunset ...", but also delivers the blue-print for their later development into more tranquil folk sceneries.
With their fifth album, Empyrium embark on a new creative phase
Twelve years after their last studio effort "Weiland", Empyrium - the masters of natural ambiances set to music - return with a much-anticipated new album. Notwithstanding their creative break, "The Turn Of The Tides" is an Empyrium-album par excellence, although it bears strong testimony to the artistic and personal growth Schwadorf and Helm have undergone since 2002. The pre-published songs "The Days Before The Fall" (from the compilation "Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings", 2010) and "Dead Winter Ways (released in November 2013 as a limited vinyl-EP) have already implied that for their new material, Empyrium draw on different forms of musical expression more confidently than ever, yet do not shy away from the wide range their oeuvre has offered so far.
Concurrently with the music, the conceptional aspect of "The Turn Of The Tides" attests to a mature and evolved elaboration on Empyrium's essence. Nature and human...
Nové album kultovní německé kapely. Krásné digipackové vydání na labelu Prophecy Productions.
With their sixth full-length, "Über den Sternen", an allegorical German rendering of their band name meaning "Above the Stars", EMPYRIUM still draw from the magic and spirits of wild places, nature's beauty, and human relics of ages long past. "Über den Sternen" echoes this reconciliation of the old with the new on a musical level as well. The Franconian duo is putting more emphasis on the electric guitars and harsh vocals again, which marked their first two albums and stood strong upon the band's melodic black metal foundations. Yet EMPYRIUM also revisit the dark folk style, which the Germans had progressively embraced on their third and fourth albums.
What used to appear to be a crossroad in their musical development has now merged into one breath-taking sound. The combined force of mastermind, multi-instrumentalist, clean and extreme vocalist as well as producer Markus "Schwadorf"...
The quintessence of nature mysticism
'Weiland' is Empyrium's fourth album and embodies the quintessence of this unique band. Still performed acoustically, it combines the atmospheric suspense of the first two albums (e.g., "Heimkehr", "Die Schwäne im Schilf") with the pensive still lives of "Where At Night ..." (e.g., 'Kein Hirtenfeuer glimmt mehr', 'Nebel'). The musical spectrum of the project is enriched through the re-integration of drums and the introduction of instruments such as viola, violin, bassoon, or Mellotron, so there is also a lot to discover for those who already know Empyrium. The album is entirely devoted to nature mysticism. In its three chapters - Marsh, Forest, and Water -, Empyrium portray their view of nature in romantic and legendary ways.

The precursor for "Weiland"
Their third album sees Empyrium abandoning the Metal elements of their music for the first time, instantly creating a classic of nature-romantic acoustic music.
Inspired by Ulver's "Kveldssanger", this work is more influenced by the folklore of Schwadorf's home region, the Rhoen, than any other album by Empyrium, and it paved the way for "Weiland" (2002).
