Debutní album ruské atmo black metalové kapely. The lyrics and the concept of the band are based around the iconic "Twin Peaks" series. The genre of the band can be referred to as Atmospheric Black metal (though, this reference is quite tentative). Despite a large share of pure black metal elements the music of AESCULETA is significantly influenced by some contiguous genres. There is a place for melodic instrumental passages, ambient sketches and rather assertive and intense sections topped with trademark screaming vocals. Two EPs `Allmacht` and `Götterkult` followed in the years 2014 and 2015 respectively. The production for the upcoming album `Als das Licht verging` already commenced 2012 and was finally wrapped up by mid 2017. The songs were recorded, mixed and mastered at Nahetal Klangschmiede studio. AHNENKULT addressed the astrological side of Norse and Germanic mythology on `Als das Licht verging`, transforming it in to music. The new album presents the etymological relations within the universe and its interpretation by mythology and also showing a personal rendition. Many well-known expositions are interpreted in a new way. In this cosmic structure the sun, and thus the God Baldur, is considered to be the center of the universe, the origin of all life. All this gave rise to various rumors about the nature of this "beast": a wolf, an exotic animal, or a werewolf !? The fear of this apparently invincible "Malbête" and the too many victims, incited the King (Louis XV) to mobilize royal troops ("The Dragons") to track and kill it.
